Sounds like a place I need to go,really great documentary.Well done my friend.
Merry Christmas I,m originally from Northumberland UK…living in the USA now.
All the best to you & yours…you have a great talent…Reeka.
It's definitely worth a visit. Ahh so you're from the north east aswell. There's no disguising this accent is there? Merry Christmas to you too and thank you for your kind words. All the best. ;-0
Thanks for the video. I have been looking for a place to visit. For my wife and I.
Enjoy your trip!
very informative and straight to the point. Thank you!
Thank you. I'm glad it was helpful. ;-)
I just spent a month motorbiking in vietnam, including Phu Quoc. Im sooooo surprised you made a video about best places to go on the island without mentioning Sunset Town and Grand World.
I can't wait to go back and spend more time at every place on the island.
When will you go back? My visit was brief. Only five days. More to discover. :-)
@@AlwaysonaJourney I just left my company after 30 years and now ready to slow travel and I'm anxious to visit other countries in Southeast Asia before going back to Vietnam. I would love to buy a motorbike in Thailand and slowly tour Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and eventually find myself in Vietnam again!
Go for it. Only got one life. :-)
Which are do you recommend for a family traveling with toddler?
@@jane8228Your little person will love GrandWorld and Vin Wonders theme park! GrandWorld is free to roam around and experience all of the sites and sounds and colors. There are boat rides, a little puppet show, huge water and light show, a unique garden with lookout tower and so much more. If you walk to the north end of Grand World there is a beach. I think you might like to stay in one of the inexpensive places in that area.
But definitely don't forget to go across the island to visit PhuQuoc City and you might especially like Sunset Town.
Hi Andrew, I did not know that Khem Beach was opened for public. Next time in Saigon definitely will visit Khem Beach. I was in Phu Quoc for 5 days and for heavy rain every single day.
Nice video as usual.
Merry Christmas to you and Jerry
Merry Christmas to you too Thomas. It rained a lot while we were there aswell. Hope you're keeping well. All the best for 2023. ;-)
Here in January there is no rain.
Thanks. That's good to know.
Which month was that?
Best months to visit Phu Quoc are Nov - March
Wet months from June to Oct
Damn we didn’t put this on the list but maybe next time!! Looks great 👍🏽 😮
Have a great time in Vietnam. I will check out some of your videos. Enjoy!
I'll be there for Tet. Excellent video
Thabk you and I hope you have a great time. ;-)
The number 1 question, how much is a beer! We go next week cannot wait. Great video.
Thanks. I think a beer is ab out 20.000 vnd.
Your video made me choose another option, plus all this rain 😂
:-)
Great job!
Thank you
If you think that’s crystal clear blue water, please come to Malaysia. We have Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Tioman, Pulau Rawa. All of which is way more beautiful
Thank you so much for sharing this info with me. It's very useful. I'm going to look those places up. :-)
Iam sure there much better but the question is if it has some infrastructure to stay a week and if it does how much will cost. Vietnam is affordable even an Island as Phu Quoc. Give us your thoughts please
Georgetown water is minging
Nah,north Finnland ist better!
Dirty beaches in Malaysia!
I always go to your Chanel when I am feeling stressed. So soothing and kind🙏🏽
Aww, thank you. That's lovely to hear that. 😊
Nice vid, bro. Love it. Which AREA will you suggest to stay when visiting PHU QUOC? Thanks 👌
I would suggest duong dong or the town centre area, because it is centre to everything on the island.
Hi Andrew and Jerry, thanks for the video.
Are you sure, "khem" means ice-cream in VNmese ? Isn't it "Kem" instead ? 🙂
When we checked the internet, we noticed the beach is named both Kem Beach and Khem Beach. However, thank you. :-)
Good vibre you really explain so clearly❤❤❤
Thank you! 🙂That's kind of you.
Great video! Very informative. I just would not exaggerate about "crystal clear" water, because it is really not :D A few beaches have clean water, but most of them are not clear. I am currently in Phu Quoc, it is March, 2023.
Thanks for leaving is a comment. I hope you enjoy you're time in Phu Quoc.
which VN beaches have the clear water? My Khe Danang) and An Bang (Hoi An) not so crystal clear.
yeah I was kind of wondering about the crystal clear waters comments.....the video definitely did not coincide with crystal clear
When were you there? The weather doesn't look very good :/ Planning my trip in April
We were in November which is still raining.
Well, you’re certainly thorough, I’ll give you that.
Thanks
Hello Andrew,
Great video !
Some questions:
1) Does Grab work in Phu Quoc ?
2) How much cost a Taxi from the airport to Duong Dong ?
3) How long does it take to go from the airport to Duong Dong ?
Thank you so much.
Haello. Thanks for that. Yes Grab is available in Phu Quoc. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Duong Dong and the price is about 150,000 - 200,000 VND. ;-)

Hello Andrew, I am planning to visit Phu Quoc in April. How's the weather there in April and May I know how do I get there from Ho Chi Minh City? I want to go to the Hon ThomTheme Park too. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance. Btw the video is really informative.
Hi Jerry. The dry season is from November until April. However, it's unpredictable as it rained a few times while we were there in November. I have only been there once so I don't know what the weather is like at other times of the year to be honest. You can fly there from Ho Chi Minh City and the flight takes about one hour. ;-)
Nice video. I think Duong Dong is an old airport that is no longer in use, I actually made a video about it. It's actually cool place to hang out there, you can drive motorbike on the runway, people build some shops inside airport, some people even live there, like the lady under the comunication tower. New airport is called Phu Quoc international airport.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. I'll have a look at your video about the ild airport. ;-)
@@AlwaysonaJourney It's actualy interesting place to explore. I've seen few more of your videos, cool content, keep it comming man. 🙌
I just returned from Phu Quoc and it was less than pleasant. I spent 2.5 hours in immigration. Only two officers with three airplanes of passengers. Grand World and Sunset Town were erected at a cost of billions of USD. They are huge areas made to look like Disneyland. In terms of the commercial real estate, I estimate, only 5% is occupied. You go to Vietnam to see Vietnam not Disneyland.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
You are both right and wrong. I spent two weeks on a scooter a year ago.. there is still paradise to find. Did you to ganh dau? North of disney land? The jungle these days are closed of. But I shouldnt tell any one....but it still had paradise to offer.
I was there it is imazing ❤
When we're you there?
Hi did You asked for registration and permission to fly a drone in Vietnam? Thank You.
I didn't, but you have to be mindful when you fly it.
@@AlwaysonaJourney thx ✌️
Stunning location- was there any nightlife? 🤔
It was very quiet while we were there. I think there usually but not sure hoiw lively it is.
I want visit Vietnam specially phu quoc it so magazine place of Vietnam 🇻🇳
Yeah you should go. Where are yopu from?
As a first time there, do u suggest stay at town or ang thoi?
I'd recommend the town as it's more central to everything.
Visiting this august (monsoon time), would you suggest i stay on the west coast in easy resorts or try the east coast with better weather?
Monsoons bring rain to Phu Quoc in August. East coast offers more sunshine for beach lovers. West coast has calmer seas and sunsets, but more rain. Choose east for sun, west for water activities or sunsets. Consider accommodation options on both sides too!
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊 Hope you're enjoy your visit.
I have booked ticket dec end to ho chi mincity.
Is that gud time to go phu quoc?
The dry season for Phu Qupc runs from October until April apparently. As always though the weacther can be unpredictable. I was there last year in November and there was quite a bit of rain.
เวียดนาม น่าไปเที่ยวจังเลยค่ะ
ควรต้องไปซักครั้งครับ ถ้าไปถูกฤดูจะสนุกมากครับ
Love
Thank you. Are you going there soon?
It’s pronounced Phu Wouc even tho there is a Q but it sounds like a W when you pronounce Phu Quoc
I make some mistake I think PH make f sound and Qu is W sound
Thank you
@@AlwaysonaJourney no worries
In Vietnamese, Ph is pronounced like an f and Qu pronounced like a W.
What month did you visit?
We visited in November, it's still raining some days when we were there.
Hi Andrew i am VIETNAMESE but never been to Phu Quoc i want to retire in Vietnam and Phu Quoc is my dream can you tell me Phu Quoc have international BANK like HSBC please thank you.
As what I know there are the branches in these 4 cities which are Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang and Binh Duong.
@@AlwaysonaJourney is a bummer when you living the life aboard you always use your plastic i get they not fantastic in VN thank you for your reply if you still in Vietnam can you make more video about streets food in PHU QUOC do PHU QUOC have pho ? Thanks again have a lovely time in VN.
Unfortunately we are in Thailand now but plan to visit Vietnam again later this year.
@@AlwaysonaJourney lucky you, will watch and see what you up too , i am so jealous 😀
Do you have any travel plans?
Is mid october a good time to come to Phu Quoc?
It's still rainy season.
@AlwaysonaJourney oh im travelling to Vietnam for work anyway in October and taking some vacation days at the end of my trip. Would you recommend some other place instead ? And is the place empty in October ?
@baberkhan7366 Phu Quoc in October while it's the rainy season, the showers are typically short and intense, with plenty of sunshine in between. The island is less crowded compared to peak season, and you'll enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. Plus, the weather is generally pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor activities and beach relaxation. and this time of the year the north is going to winter the weather is cooler and pleasant.
What about renting a car?
Hello. I don't have any information about that. I rented a scooter through Klook.
Pronounced Fu Wok.
:-)
Or "fu walk", indistinguishable from "fu wok".
This is Cambodia island name ( koh tral) Vietnam conducted an illegal activity to the villagers to gain control for profits .
Thanks for sharing this information.
I didn't see white sand!
:-)
We're you looking in the correct places?
Crystal clear uto ak ang
:-)
Crystal clear and white sands? You need glasses mate. Fed up with deceiving videos.
😁
The water is not that beautifull :(
